Complete 6R80 valve body with solenoids installed for 2007-2010 Ford F150, replacing 8L3P-7A101-BB for harsh shifts, slipping and solenoid codes.
A complete valve body assembly for the Ford 6R80 six-speed automatic, supplied with the solenoid pack already mounted. It is listed for 2007-2010 F150 trucks and carries the 8L3P-7A101-BB service reference used on the early 6R80. This is the early-design unit; confirm your build date and part number before ordering, since later 6R80 valve bodies are not the same part.
The 6R80 valve body is the usual culprit when an F150 shows harsh 1-2 or 2-3 shifts, a delayed or banging engagement into drive or reverse, flare between gears, or stored shift solenoid and pressure control codes. Worn bores and a tired solenoid body cause pressure to leak off, and replacing the whole assembly is often faster and more predictable than chasing individual solenoids.
On the bench: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, and unplug the internal harness connector. Remove the valve body bolts, noting their lengths and locations, and lower the unit straight down so the manual valve clears the detent lever. Check the separator plate and checkballs on the case side, then install the new body, engage the manual valve, and torque the bolts in sequence to spec. Refill with Mercon LV and check level hot.
After installation, clear codes and run the adaptive relearn with a capable scan tool. Skipping the relearn is the most common reason a replacement valve body still shifts poorly for the first few drives.
Before you replace it, read our step-by-step 6R80 valve body test guide — the symptoms and codes, the line-pressure and vacuum checks, and how to confirm the valve body is the fault. See all 6R80 parts.
