Air Hydraulic Foot Pump 10,000 PSI for Shop Presses

This is the air-over-hydraulic power unit that feeds a shop press or a single-acting ram. You hook it to 90-120 PSI shop air, screw the 3/8 in NPT outlet into your press cylinder, and work the foot pedal. It builds up to 10,000 PSI, which is what a 10-ton class ram needs to seat or pull a press-fit part. The point of the foot pedal is that both of your hands stay on the work: one holding the bushing driver square, one steadying the case or drum, instead of one of them stuck on a hand-pump handle.

On a transmission bench that means pressing bushings into a pump body or case bore, driving output and input shaft bearings on, seating races, pressing planetary pinion shafts, and popping stubborn bearings off with a separator plate under the press. Because the pedal has a 2-stage release, you can dump pressure fast when a part finally moves, or feather it down slowly when you are creeping a bushing into a soft aluminum bore and do not want it to snap through the last few thousandths.
