About this product

This is everything needed to do a full fluid and filter service on the DQ381 seven-speed wet dual-clutch, the 0GC gearbox VW and Audi put behind the EA888 and EA211 engines on the MQB platform. It is the wet-clutch DSG, not the dry DQ200, so it holds real volume: the kit ships with six one-liter bottles of dual-clutch fluid built to OE spec G055529, which is what the factory procedure calls for.

In the box: six liters of G055529-spec DSG fluid, one DSG transmission filter, the filter housing seal, a drain plug sealing washer, the side mechatronic unit plug seal, a fill adapter that threads into the drain hole, and a manual fluid transfer pump with a bottle clamp so you can push the new fluid in from underneath without a pressurized filler.

Fitment as listed by the manufacturer, all seven-speed DSG: Volkswagen Golf R 2018-2024, GTI 2019-2024, Jetta GLI 2019-2024, and Arteon 2022-2023; Audi A3 2.0L 2017-2024, A3 quattro 2019-2024, S3 2018-2024, TT quattro 2019-2023, and TTS quattro 2019-2023. Verify you have the wet seven-speed and not the dry DQ200 before ordering - the dry box takes roughly 1.7 liters of gear oil and none of this applies to it.

On the job: park level, drop the drain plug and let the old fluid out, pull the filter housing cover and swap the filter and its housing seal, then fit the new drain plug washer. Refill through the drain hole using the supplied adapter and hand pump, and set the final level with the engine idling at the fluid temperature the factory procedure specifies - overfilling a wet DSG makes it foam and shift badly. VW schedules this service on the wet DSG at 40,000-mile intervals, and it is the first thing to do when a high-mileage car starts shuddering as the clutches take up from a stop, banging the 1-2, or throwing clutch slip codes from tired, contaminated fluid.
