0B5 S-Tronic Transmission Fluid Fill Hand Pump Kit

Hand pump kit for filling and drawing down gear oil on the VW/Audi 0B5 (DL501) seven-speed S tronic and the 0CK (DL382) dual-clutch box. It is the aftermarket equivalent of factory tool VAS6617, so the procedure in the service data still applies - you pump MTF straight out of the bottle and into the case through the fill/level plug instead of trying to gravity-feed a sealed transmission from underneath.

The pump body holds 500 ml and is transparent, so you can watch the fluid move and see when you are pulling air instead of oil. Two quick-acting screw-fit couplings, two brackets and a 90-degree drain device let you set the pump up on the bench or hang it off the car, and the kit carries seven push-fit adapters plus the VAS6617/12 adapter so the hose actually seals against the fill port rather than dribbling down the case. Everything stores in a molded plastic case.

The reason this matters on a 0B5: the mechatronic sump and the gear oil side are separate, there is no dipstick, and the level is set by the plug with the fluid at a specified temperature. Filling with a squeeze bottle or a suction gun pulls air into the accumulator circuit, and an underfilled or aerated 0B5 shows up as clutch shudder, slow engagement into first and reverse, and P17BF/P189C-family clutch adaptation codes. Pumping the fluid in under steady hand pressure keeps air out and lets you get the level right on the first fill. The same pump reverses to pull the old fluid out for a drain-and-fill.
