Grade 10.9 flange bolts that fasten an LS or LT engine to a GM 4L60E, 4L80E, or T56 bellhousing, replacing the strip-prone factory Torx-plus hardware.
An eight-bolt set for mating a Gen III, IV, or V GM engine to the transmission bellhousing. The factory external bolts that hold the bell to the block are an E-Torx (Torx-plus) head that rounds off and strips the moment a slightly worn or wrong bit goes in, and once one lets go you are drilling and extracting on a bolt buried behind the starter. This set replaces all of them with a standard hex flange head you can run with a 1/2-inch socket.
Fits the LS and LT swap crowd: 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E, and 4L80E transmissions bolting to LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LQ4, LQ9, L33, LR4, L82, L83, L84, L86, L87, L92, L99, LT1, and L8B engines, and the T56 manual behind the same blocks. Cross-references the common 551652 bolt set.
The bolts are grade 10.9 carbon steel with a zinc coating to hold up against the heat and road spray at the bell. The hexagonal flange head seats flat and spreads clamp load on its own, so there are no separate washers to fumble behind the engine. Eight bolts per kit, enough to do the bellhousing perimeter on a standard swap. Ships from the USA.
