The Teflon sealing rings on the turbine shaft and stator support are one of the easiest things to ruin during a 700-R4 or 4L60E rebuild. Slide a fresh ring on by hand and it stretches; push it home without resizing and it stands proud, so the shaft binds going into the pump or the drum leaks pressure the moment you fire it up. This is the tapered installer-and-resizer set that solves both problems the way the factory tools do.

The tapered cone slips the new Teflon ring over the shaft groove without cutting or over-stretching it, and the matching resizer sleeve then squeezes the ring back down to its correct diameter so it seats flush and the shaft drops into place with no drag. Doing it this way is the difference between a rebuild that holds line pressure and one that comes back apart on the bench a week later.

The set replaces the Kent-Moore J-36418-C and Atec Trans-Tool T-1503 / T-1574 tools and covers the GM 700-R4, 4L60, 4L60E, 4L65E and 4L70E families.
