U760E Transmission Valve Body for Toyota Camry 2.5L

Complete valve body assembly for the Toyota U760E (also written U760), the Aisin six-speed used in transverse front-wheel-drive applications behind the 2.5L and 2.7L four-cylinder engines. This is the full body with the solenoids and separator plate on it, not a bare casting, so it replaces the unit as an assembly rather than asking you to swap parts over one at a time.

Fitment covers Camry 2009-2017, Highlander 2008-2019, RAV4 2011-on, Venza 2008-2017, Lexus RX350 2011-2013 and ES350 2013-2015 in the 2WD front-drive configuration. Verify the layout before ordering: the AWD variants of the same vehicles use the U760F, and the bodies are not interchangeable. Check the tag on the case if you are not sure which you have.

On the bench, drop the pan, pull the filter, and unbolt the body working from the outside in so the casting comes off flat — the separator plate and the checkballs sit between the halves and will fall out if you tip it. Note the length and position of every bolt as it comes out; the U760E uses several different lengths and a long bolt in a short hole will crack the casting. Transfer the harness connector, torque the body down evenly in a crossing pattern, and install a fresh filter and pan gasket. Clear adaptives and let the unit relearn.

The failures that send you here are bore wear and stuck valves, not electrical ones. A U760E that throws solenoid performance codes, flares between second and third, bangs into gear from a stop, or slips under light throttle after it comes up to temperature has usually worn the valve bores oval around the shift and pressure control valves. Once the bore is worn, a new solenoid will not hold pressure because the valve it is commanding leaks past. Replacing the body as a unit restores the hydraulic side in one pass.
