XTOOL IP500 GM Bidirectional Full System Scan Tool

The XTOOL IP500 for GM is a full-system scan tool locked to the GM family - Buick, Chevrolet, Cadillac and GMC from 1999 through 2025 - so it talks to the modules a universal code reader skips. It reads and clears codes across the whole vehicle (ECM, TCM, ABS, SRS, BCM, and the body modules) on a 5.45-inch touchscreen, and it graphs live data while the vehicle is driving, which is how you separate a real transmission fault from an engine or wheel-speed input problem.

On transmission work the useful part is the TCM side: pull live line pressure, TCC slip speed, ISS and OSS, gear commanded versus gear attained, and trans fluid temperature on a 4L60E, 4L80E, 6L80, 6L90, 6T70 or 8L90, then use full bidirectional control to command solenoids and shift the box on the lift instead of guessing from a stored P0751 or P0776. Commanding an output and watching nothing happen is the fastest way to prove a valve body or solenoid problem before the pan comes down.

It also runs 28-plus service resets, so the jobs that normally send the truck to a dealer stay in your bay: crankshaft position sensor variation relearn (CASE learn) after a cam, crank or timing job, throttle relearn, EPB retract for rear brakes, ABS bleed, injector coding, oil service, SAS, BMS and TPMS. Software updates are free for the life of the tool.

This is the GM-only version of the IP500 platform. If you work mostly on GM trucks and SUVs it gives you the deep coverage of a brand tool at a fraction of a Tech2 setup, and it is small enough to live in a toolbox drawer rather than on a cart.
