Replaces all seven pressure and shift solenoids on a ZF 6HP26 valve body to cure harsh 2-3 shifts, cold engagement delay and limp mode.
Seven-piece shift and pressure solenoid set for the ZF 6HP19, 6HP26 and 6HP32 six-speed automatic, OEM reference 1068298044. These are the solenoids that live on the valve body under the mechatronic cover and control line pressure and every clutch apply in the unit. Supplied remanufactured.
Fitment covers BMW 1 Series 2004-up, 3 Series 2003-up, 5 Series 2000-up, 6 Series 2007-up, 7 Series 2008-2010, X1, X3 2006-2010, X5 2006-2009 and Z4 2006-up with the 2.0L, 2.5L and 3.0L; Audi A4 Cabriolet, A6, A8 2002-2010, Allroad, Q7 2005-2009 and S4/RS4 2004-2009 with the 09L six-speed; Jaguar S-Type 2003-2005, XF 2007-2010 and XJ 2003-2009; Volkswagen Phaeton 2005-up; and the 2008-up Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 RWD. Confirm your unit is a 6HP-family box before ordering, since the same chassis years were also built with other transmissions.
When these solenoids drift, the complaints are predictable: a harsh or flared 2-3 shift, a long delay engaging Drive or Reverse when cold, slipping under light throttle, and eventually a hard code and limp mode holding third gear. The pressure regulator solenoids wear at the pintle and bore and stop metering the same current-to-pressure curve the TCM expects, so the module keeps commanding correction until it runs out of adapt.
The job is done with the pan and filter off and the mechatronic unit dropped. Unplug the internal harness at each solenoid, release the retaining clips, pull the old units, and seat the new ones squarely so the bore O-rings are not rolled. Reconnect the harness, torque the valve body bolts in sequence, and fit a fresh pan gasket and filter. Refill with the correct ZF Lifeguard 6 spec fluid and set level through the fill plug at the 30 to 50 degree C check temperature, not by dipstick.
