4L60E Master Rebuild Kit with Filter for 2004-Up GM Trucks

This is a master overhaul kit for the late-model GM 4L60E family, and it also covers the 4L65E, 4L70E and 4L75E. It is meant for a full teardown: clutch frictions and steels for the packs, the transmission filter, pan gasket, valve body gaskets, front and rear seals, sealing rings and O-rings. Listed applications include 2004-2010 Silverado 1500, Sierra 1500 (2004-2007), Tahoe and Yukon 4.8/5.3/6.0/6.2L, 2004-2006 Escalade, 2007-2008 Avalanche, 2004-2010 Colorado, 2004-2010 Savana 1500 and 2004-2005 Corvette. The 2004-up coverage matters: the late units take different valve body gaskets than the 1993-2003 transmissions, so confirm the year of your core before you order.

Use a master kit when the unit comes in burnt and slipping, with a blued 3-4 pack or the forward clutch worn to the steels. Soak the frictions in ATF for 30 minutes before assembly, check clutch clearances as you stack each drum, match the separator plate gasket hole pattern against your old one, and air check the circuits before the valve body goes on. Hard parts such as the sun shell, drums, planets and bushings are not in this kit, so inspect them while the case is apart.
