Replaces every solenoid, the pressure switch manifold and the internal TCC harness on 1993-2002 GM 4L60E units in one pan-off job.
This is a complete electrical service kit for the early GM 4L60E, the 1993 through 2002 units found behind Vortec V6 and V8 engines in Chevrolet and GMC trucks, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Blazer, Camaro, Firebird and Corvette. It also covers the 4L65E and 4L70E variants built in that range. Inside the box: the 1-2 (A) and 2-3 (B) shift solenoids, the 3-2 downshift solenoid, the EPC pressure control solenoid, the PWM converter clutch solenoid, the pressure switch manifold, and the TCC solenoid on its internal wiring harness.
The reason to replace the whole set instead of chasing one code: these parts age together. A 4L60E with 150,000 miles that throws a P0753 or P0758 for a shift solenoid usually has an EPC solenoid with a worn screen and a pressure switch manifold with tired diaphragms right behind it. Soft or late shifts, harsh engagement, no torque converter lockup (P0740, P1860), stuck in second gear, or erratic shift points all trace back to this group. Doing them all at once means the pan only comes off once.
On the bench or in the truck: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, unplug the case connector and disconnect the harness from each component. The shift solenoids come out after pulling their retaining clips, the EPC and 3-2 solenoids are held by brackets, and the pressure switch manifold bolts to the valve body. Install the new pieces in the same positions, route the new harness along the original path, and torque the valve body and manifold bolts to spec in sequence so you do not warp the body. Refill with Dexron VI and check the level hot.
Note on year break: 1993-2002 units use the older harness and connector layout. 2003-and-later 4L60E transmissions take a different kit, so confirm your model year before ordering.
