Solenoid set for 1996-2002 GM 4L60E trucks, SUVs and cars: shift A and B, EPC and TCC solenoids to fix harsh shifts, slipping and P0750-P0770 codes.
A replacement solenoid set for the early-style GM 4L60E, also listed for the 4L65E and 4L70E, built to the original flow rate, coil resistance and body dimensions so line pressure and shift timing come back where they belong. It covers the shift A and B solenoids, the EPC (electronic pressure control) solenoid and the torque converter clutch solenoid used on 1996-2002 units.
Listed fitment includes 1996-2002 Silverado and Sierra 1500-3500, Suburban 1500-2500, Tahoe and Yukon, 1999-2002 Escalade ESV and EXT, 1996-2002 Astro and Safari vans, Bravada, Firebird, 1997-2000 Isuzu Hombre, and 1996 Roadmaster, Fleetwood and Brougham.
Symptoms that point to these solenoids: harsh or delayed shifts, stuck in second or third, flare between gears, high RPM without the truck pulling, no lockup, and codes in the P0750-P0770 range. Left alone, a sticking EPC or shift solenoid causes pressure problems that burn clutches and bands, so replace the set before the damage spreads to the hard parts.
Install: drop the pan, remove the filter and unplug the internal harness. Pull the clips on shift A and B, unbolt the EPC and TCC solenoids, and swap in the new parts with fresh ATF on every O-ring. Fit a new filter and gasket, refill to level, clear codes and road test through all four gears. Expect a light film of assembly lubricant on the parts out of the box; that is normal.
