4L60E Super Master Rebuild Kit 1993-2013 DK7700ES

This is a full super master kit for the GM 4L60E, part number DK7700ES-ZP, covering 1993 through 2013 units and the 4L65E and 4L70E variants built on the same case. Sixteen separate items ship together: the overhaul gasket and seal set, friction plates, steel plates, the intermediate band, a complete bushing kit, the pan filter, the molded piston kit and assembly lube. It is everything a soft-parts rebuild consumes, so you are not chasing a missing seal halfway through the build.

Use it on a unit that came in slipping in third, flaring on the 2-3 shift, or burning the 3-4 pack, which is the classic 4L60E failure on 1500-series trucks and Camaro/Firebird applications. Because both frictions and steels are in the box you can set clutch clearance properly instead of reusing heat-blued steels that will glaze the new frictions inside a few hundred miles.

Bench order: tear the unit down, clean and inspect the drums, pistons and bushings, then soak the friction plates in clean Dexron before you stack anything. Drive the new bushings in with a proper driver set, replace the molded pistons and lip seals, set each pack to the clearance in the service manual as you build it, install the new band and filter, and finish with the pan gasket and case seals.
