4L80E 4-Piece Solenoid Kit EPC TCC Shift, 1991-2003

A four-solenoid kit for the GM 4L80E heavy-duty 4-speed: the EPC pressure control solenoid (OE 24216254), the 1-2/3-4 shift solenoid (24230288), the 2-3 shift solenoid (24230289) and the TCC torque converter clutch solenoid (24210864).

Fitment: GM 4L80E, 1991-2003, as used in Sierra and Silverado 2500/3500, Suburban, Express/Savana and other 3/4 and 1-ton GM trucks and vans. Match the part numbers on your old solenoids before install.

What it fixes: a truck stuck in one gear, harsh or soft shifts from bad line pressure, converter lockup that will not engage or shudders, and codes like P0748 (EPC), P0753 and P0758 (shift A/B), and P0740/P0742 (TCC). These solenoids wear together, so one failure is usually the first of several.

On the bench: drop the pan and filter, unplug the internal harness, and swap each solenoid in its bore with new O-rings lubed in ATF. Check the harness pass-through connector for leaks while you are in there, refill, clear codes and road test through all four gears.
