A solenoid service kit for the GM 4L80E and 4L85E heavy-duty four-speed automatics. It carries the shift and TCC lockup solenoids along with a new internal wiring harness, transmission filter and pan gasket, so the electrical side of the valve body can be refreshed in one pan-drop.

Tired shift solenoids and a leaking or chafed internal harness are common on high-mileage 4L80E work trucks and cause late or missing upshifts, stuck-in-gear limp mode, no converter lockup and codes like P0753, P0758 and P0740. Replacing the solenoids and harness together removes the usual electrical suspects before you tear into the hydraulics.
On the bench: drain and drop the pan, remove the filter, unplug the harness from the case connector and solenoids, then unbolt and swap each solenoid with its new counterpart. Route the new harness exactly like the original so it clears the valve body, install the filter and gasket, refill with Dexron VI and road test before clearing codes.
