6L80E Master Rebuild Kit with Frictions and Filter

Master overhaul kit for the GM 6L80E and 6L90E six-speed. The box carries the full friction set for the clutch packs, the pan and case gaskets, bonded pistons and lip seals, sealing rings, O-rings, the valve body separator plate gaskets, a rear seal and a new pan filter. It interchanges with the common 195901XLS, 24236931, 34664P, 195940 and 135710D kit numbers.

Fitment covers 2006-2020 Yukon and Yukon XL, 2007-2022 Silverado and Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD with the 6.0L and 6.6L, 2009-2021 Express and Savana vans, 2006-2018 Escalade, the 2008-2015 CTS-V and 2006-2009 STS-V. That is the whole run of the six-speed rear-wheel-drive GM case.

A 6L80 comes in for a rebuild after burnt 3-5-R or 4-5-6 clutches, slipping in fourth or fifth, or a converter clutch shudder that has contaminated the fluid. With the case apart, replace every friction, lip seal and gasket in this kit rather than reusing anything, and soak the frictions in fresh Dexron VI before assembly. Steels, the torque converter and the TEHCM are not part of the kit, so inspect those separately. No instructions are included; work from an ATSG or factory manual for clearances.
