JF011E / RE0F10A CVT valve body with solenoids, filter, screen and pan gasket for Jeep Compass, Dodge Caliber and Mitsubishi Outlander.
Valve body assembly for the JATCO JF011E continuously variable transaxle, sold by Nissan as the RE0F10A and by Chrysler as the CVT2. It ships as a service kit: the valve body with its solenoids fitted, a transmission filter, an oil filter with O-ring, and the oil pan gasket. Cross references include 31705-1XF1A, 31705-1XF0C and 31705-3TX0C.
Listed fitment covers Mitsubishi Lancer 2008-2015, Outlander 2008-2017 and Outlander Sport 2011-2017, Dodge Caliber 2007-2012, and Jeep Compass and Patriot 2007-2017. Read the part number off your own valve body and match it, since JATCO built several closely related bodies across this family and they are not interchangeable.
The JF011E is the unit behind the well-known Compass and Patriot CVT complaints. Solenoid and bore wear in the valve body show up as a shudder or judder pulling away, a delayed or flaring engagement into Drive, the car dropping to a fixed ratio, and P0841 or P0868 pressure codes that come back after a fluid service. Once the ratio-control circuit is worn, replacing the body is what actually holds. This is a reconditioned unit and may carry light cosmetic marks from the refurbishing process. Drop the pan and filter, unplug the solenoid harness, unbolt the body evenly, install the new filter and gasket from the kit, and refill with the correct JATCO-spec CVT fluid, which is NS-2, NS-3 or Chrysler CVTF+4 depending on the application. Run the ratio and pressure relearn before you road test.
