Complete JF020E (RE0F12A) CVT valve body with solenoids and harness for the 1.6L Nissan Kicks and Versa, for shudder, slip and pressure codes.
This is a complete valve body assembly for the Jatco JF020E CVT, the unit Nissan calls the RE0F12A (Jatco also markets it as CVT7 W/R). In the US it sits behind the 1.6L HR16DE in the 2018-2023 Nissan Kicks and the 2020-2024 Nissan Versa, and the same box is used in the Sylphy, Tiida and Lannia in other markets. The assembly comes with the solenoids and internal wiring already mounted, so you are not transferring parts off the old casting.
On these small CVTs the valve body controls secondary pulley pressure, ratio change and lock-up. When a linear solenoid sticks or a bore wears, you get a shudder or judder at light throttle, a flare or slip when accelerating, delayed engagement into Drive or Reverse, and pressure or solenoid codes like P0746, P0776, P0841, P17F0 or P0962-P0966, often with the TCM dropping into limp mode. If the fluid is not full of belt or pulley debris, a valve body swap is the repair that addresses those faults without pulling the transmission.
On the bench: drain the CVT fluid, drop the oil pan and pull the strainer, unplug the harness connector at the case, then remove the valve body bolts, noting their lengths and positions before lowering it off. Clean the mating surface and pan magnet, install the new unit and torque the bolts in sequence to factory spec, then refill with Nissan NS-3 CVT fluid and set the level at temperature.
Confirm your transmission is a JF020E / RE0F12A before ordering by checking the ID tag on the case or running your VIN through a Nissan parts catalog. After installation, clear codes and run the CVT learning procedure with a Nissan-capable scan tool so the TCM adapts to the new solenoids; skipping it can leave a harsh engagement or a lingering shudder.
