K310 CVT Rebuild Kit with Frictions and Steels

This rebuild kit covers the Toyota K310 continuously variable transmission, and the seller also lists it for the K311. It combines the overhaul kit (seals, gaskets and O-rings) with a set of friction plates and a set of steel plates, which is what you need to redo the forward clutch and reverse brake inside the unit.

Listed fitment is the Toyota Corolla 1.8L from 2006 to 2015 and the Corolla 2.4L from 2009 to 2013. Toyota ran conventional automatics in many of those Corollas too, so confirm the car actually has the K310 CVT on the ID tag before you order.

On a K310 that slips on takeoff, bangs into drive or reverse, or will not move at all, the forward clutch or reverse brake pack is the usual suspect once you have ruled out low fluid and a stuck solenoid. On the bench, inspect the belt and pulley faces for scoring before you commit, then replace the frictions and steels, soak the new frictions in Toyota CVT Fluid FE first, and replace every seal from the overhaul kit. Refill to the proper level with the engine running at the specified fluid temperature.
