Nissan Pathfinder CVT Shift Cable 34935-3KA0A

This is a replacement automatic transmission shift cable for the 2013-2020 Nissan Pathfinder 3.5L and the 2013-2020 Infiniti QX60 3.5L (the JX35 before 2014). Both use the CVT. It replaces Nissan part number 34935-3KA0A (349353KA0A) and connects the floor shifter to the range lever on the transmission. Pull the number off your old cable before ordering, since hybrid and other trims can use different parts.

When the shift cable stretches, binds or the end bushing wears out, the shifter stops matching the transmission. Typical complaints are a gear indicator that shows Park or Drive while the transmission is in another range, a vehicle that will not start because the transmission does not see Park or Neutral, a key or push-button start that will not shut down because the car does not register Park, a loose lever with vague detents, and a lever that is hard to move. Check the transmission end first: a cracked end bushing or a cable popped out of its bracket clip causes the same symptoms and is a cheaper fix.

To install, set the parking brake, chock the wheels and put the shifter in Park. Remove the console or column trim to reach the shifter end, release the cable from the shift lever and its bracket, then disconnect it at the transmission range lever and bracket. Route the new cable along the original path clear of the exhaust, lock it into both brackets, connect both ends with the shifter and transmission in Park, and check that every position lines up with the indicator and the engine only starts in Park and Neutral.
