Twelve numbered bushing drivers and a handle sized to remove and install every bushing in a GM 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E or 4L65E, so new bushings seat square instead of cocked.
Rebuild a 700R4 or 4L60E and you will find worn bushings in the pump body, stator shaft, reaction carrier shaft, extension housing and case. Drive a new one in with a socket or a punch and you cock it, gall the bore, or leave it proud, and then you have a leak or a shaft that walks. This set gives you a driver machined to the exact outside diameter of each bushing so it pushes the bushing straight down into its bore, flush and square, without touching the sealing surface.
It is a 13-piece kit: twelve drivers numbered 60 through 71 plus one driver handle. Each driver is stamped for the location it fits. Drivers 61, 67 and 68 handle the front pump cover stator shaft (including the 27-spline and the 3/4-inch 30-spline versions); 62 and 69 do the reaction carrier shaft front and rear; 63 the reaction sun gear; 64 and 65 the reverse input clutch housing; 66 the extension housing; 70 the case; and 71 the front pump body. You seat the bushing in its bore, drop the matching driver on top, and tap it home with the handle.
The drivers are CNC-machined alloy steel with a black anodized finish and cross-reference the Atec Trans-Tool, OTC, Kent-Moore and SPX T-0220 / T-0220-700R4 sets. Fitment covers the GM 700R4 (700-R4), 4L60, 4L60E and 4L65E. One note from the bench: on a few bores the driver-to-bushing fit can run slightly loose, so support the bushing and start it by hand before you drive it to keep it from tipping.
