4L60E Master Solenoid Kit, 5-Piece EPC and Shift Set 2003-Up

A complete replacement solenoid set for the later GM 4L60E and its 4L65E / 4L70E relatives, 2003 and up. It covers the five electrical solenoids that live on the valve body: the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids (24230298), the pressure control or EPC solenoid (24248893), the TCC PWM solenoid (24227792) and the 3-2 downshift solenoid (24212327).

Replacing the full set is the usual move when a truck comes in with P0751, P0756, P0748 or P0741, stuck-in-gear complaints, soft or late shifts, or converter clutch shudder, and the valve body is already coming down. Solenoids of the same age wear together, and swapping just the one that set the code often means pulling the pan again a few months later. This set is for the 2003-up pattern; 1993-2002 units use a different EPC and TCC arrangement, so confirm your year and the part numbers on your old solenoids before ordering.

On the bench: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, unplug the internal harness, remove the retaining clips and bolts, and swap each solenoid one at a time so nothing ends up in the wrong bore. Lube the new O-rings with ATF before seating them, torque the valve body bolts in sequence, fit a new filter and pan gasket, refill, and clear codes before the road test.
