4L60E Super Rebuild Kit with Steels and Band 1997-2003

A complete super rebuild kit for the 1997-2003 GM 4L60E that includes the steel plates, not just the frictions. In the box are high energy friction plates, steel plates, a 2-4 band, a new filter, the cork pan gasket, the front pump seal and rear extension seal, the valve body gaskets, and the soft parts in separate labeled bags for the low/reverse clutch, the servos and the sealing rings. New steels matter on a 4L60E that failed from heat. A burned 3-4 or forward clutch pack usually leaves the steels blued, warped or glazed, and reusing them on new frictions is a common reason a rebuild slips again early. With this kit you replace both sides of every pack. The bagged seal sets keep the low/reverse and servo seals sorted so they go on the right parts. Soak the frictions in ATF for at least 30 minutes, check each pack clearance on assembly, and replace the filter so debris from the old failure does not go straight back into the new valve body.
