The OE 3-2 downshift control solenoid for GM 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E transmissions; replaces a stuck or open unit that sets code P0785 and causes a harsh or missing 3-2 downshift.
This is the genuine GM 3-2 downshift control solenoid, part number 24212327, for the 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E automatic transmissions found behind millions of Chevrolet and GMC trucks, SUVs, and vans. It is the true OE part installed at the factory, formerly cataloged as ACDelco GM Original Equipment, so the connector, winding resistance, and hydraulic response match what the PCM expects.
The 3-2 solenoid meters exhaust from the 3-2 downshift circuit so the transmission makes a smooth, timed 3-2 downshift instead of a slam or a slur. When the winding opens or the valve sticks, the truck typically sets a P0785 (shift/timing solenoid circuit) code, and you feel a harsh or delayed 3-2 downshift, a flare on part-throttle rolls, or the transmission dropping into limp mode. Swapping the failed solenoid is what clears the code and puts the downshift back to normal.
On the 4L60E family this solenoid lives in the valve body and comes out with the pan and filter off. The driver's-side solenoids are spring-loaded, so keep a thumb on the solenoid while you pull its retaining clip and then ease it out slowly, or the internal valve can drop into the case passage. It is good practice to drop fresh fluid, a new filter, and a pan gasket back in while you are already under there.
One solenoid per package. Metal body with a chrome finish and barb-style fluid ports. Ships from the USA, handling in 1-2 business days.
