JF017E CVT Rebuild Kit with 30T Pulley and Chain Belt

This set covers the Jatco JF017E, the CVT8 unit Nissan calls the RE0F10E. It includes the 30-tooth pulley set with its chain belt plus a master rebuild kit of clutch plates, frictions, seals and gaskets, so one box handles both the worn hard parts and the soft parts on a full teardown.

The JF017E is the larger 3.5L-class CVT, and the failures that bring one apart are belt and pulley wear rather than just clutch material: shudder under light throttle, a whine that tracks road speed, RPM flare on acceleration, and chain marking on the pulley cone faces. Once the cones are scored, a chain-only replacement will not hold, which is why the pulleys and the chain are replaced as a matched set here.

Fitment covers 2012-2014 Nissan Altima 3.5L, 2013-2014 Elgrand 3.5L, 2014 Murano 2.5L and 3.5L, 2013-2014 Pathfinder 3.5L, 2013-2014 Teana 2.5L and 3.5L, 2014 X-Trail 1.6L and 2012-2014 Renault Latitude 2.5L and 3.5L.

Important before you order: this pulley is built in 25-tooth, 27-tooth and 30-tooth versions, and the correct one cannot be identified from the VIN or chassis number. Count the teeth on the pulley you pull out of your own unit. This kit is the 30-tooth version. After the unit is installed, the CVT needs to be initialized and the belt and fluid degradation counters cleared with a capable scan tool.
