26-inch adjustable column-shift linkage (ACA-1811 style) that connects a GM TH400, TH350, 700R4 or 4L60E to the column shifter on longer swaps.
This is a complete column-shift linkage kit built around a 26-inch stainless rod, the longer version of the common 21-inch ACA-1800 style kit. It carries part number ACA-1811 and ties the shift lever on a GM automatic to the lever on the bottom of a steering-column shifter. The extra length matters on truck frames, long-bellhousing swaps and setups where the column lever sits well forward of the transmission, where the short rod simply will not reach.
It fits the GM TH200, TH200-4R, TH350, TH400, 700R4, 4L60, 4L60E, 4L80E and 6L80E/6L90E shift shafts. The kit includes the rod, a billet aluminum transmission-side arm with the double-D broach, two rod-end heim joints (one on a threaded adjuster), rod lock collars, the pivot bolts with nuts and washers, and grommeted hardware for the column-side connection.
Install: put the transmission in Park, slide the arm onto the shift shaft and tighten it, then set the column lever in Park. Bolt the heim joints to the column lever and the arm, cut the rod to length if needed, and lock it in the collars. Use the threaded adjuster to fine-tune so the detent in the transmission lines up with each gate on the column and the indicator reads the gear you are actually in. Check that the neutral safety switch only allows a start in Park and Neutral before you drive it.
A worn or mis-sized linkage is the usual reason a column shifter will not reach Park or 1st, the indicator is off by a gear, or the key will not come out of the column. Replacing slop-filled factory bushings or a homemade rod with an adjustable linkage cures all three.
