4L60E 5-Piece Transmission Solenoid Kit, 2003-Up

A loose five-solenoid set for the later GM 4L60E, 4L65E and 4L70E: the A (1-2) and B (2-3) shift solenoids, the 3-2 downshift control solenoid, the EPC pressure control solenoid and the TCC PWM solenoid. It does not include an internal harness, so it suits units where the harness and pressure switch are in good shape and only the solenoids need to be changed. It is listed for GM full-size trucks and SUVs such as the Sierra 1500, Yukon and Express 1500, plus the Colorado. Match your old solenoids to the photos before ordering.

Change them when the transmission sets solenoid codes such as P0751/P0753 (shift A), P0756/P0758 (shift B), P0748 (EPC), P0785 (3-2 control) or P0740/P0741 (TCC), or when it goes into limp mode stuck in one gear, shifts harsh from high line pressure, or will not lock the converter. On a high-mileage unit getting a pan-drop service, changing all five at once is cheaper than chasing them one code at a time.

On the bench: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, and unplug each solenoid from the internal harness. Pull the retaining clips on the shift and 3-2 solenoids and the bracket bolts on the EPC and TCC PWM, then lube each new O-ring with ATF and push the new solenoid straight into its bore. Refit the clips and brackets, reconnect the harness, and install a new filter and pan gasket before refilling. Clear codes and run a shift adaptive relearn with a scan tool so the PCM stops compensating for the old parts.
