4L60E Master Solenoid Kit with Harness, 2003-2005

An eight-piece electrical service set for the GM 4L60E and 4L65E automatics used in 2003-2005 Chevy, GMC and Cadillac trucks, vans and SUVs. It covers the electronic pressure control (EPC) solenoid, the shift solenoids, the TCC and TCC PWM solenoids and the 3-2 downshift solenoid, along with the internal wiring harness that plugs into the standard GM 4L60E case connector.

The 2003-2005 transmissions use a different harness and connector layout than the 1993-2002 units, so confirm the build year before ordering. If your truck is a 1993-2002, this is not the right kit.

Tired or sticking solenoids cause a familiar list of 4L60E complaints: harsh or late shifts, flare on the 1-2 or 2-3, starting in 2nd, no converter lockup, and codes like P0748, P0751, P0756, P0741 and P1870-type slip readings. Swapping the full set along with the harness takes the electrical side off the table in one job instead of chasing one solenoid at a time.

On the bench: drain and drop the pan, pull the filter, unplug the harness at the case connector and each solenoid, remove the retaining clips and bolts, and install each new solenoid in the matching bore with its o-rings lubed in ATF. Route the new harness the same way as the old one, reinstall the filter and pan with a good gasket, refill with Dexron VI, clear codes and road test.
