Five remanufactured solenoids (EPC, 1-2/2-3 shift A and B, 3-2 downshift, TCC PWM) to renew the electrical side of a 1996-2002 GM 4L60E valve body.
A five-piece remanufactured solenoid set for the GM 4L60E, covering every solenoid bolted to the valve body on 1996-2002 units: the pressure control (EPC) force motor, the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids (A and B), the 3-2 downshift solenoid, and the TCC PWM solenoid. The same pieces fit the 4L65E and early 4L70E valve bodies that share the 1996-up solenoid layout.
Listed fitment includes 1996 Cadillac Brougham and limousine V8 4.9L and 5.7L, 1999-2002 Escalade, ESV and EXT with the 5.3L, 5.7L and 6.0L, 1996-2002 Astro and Safari vans with the 4.3L V6, and 2001-2002 Avalanche 5.3L. Confirm your year and the solenoid connector style before ordering, since 2003-up 4L60E units moved to a different EPC and TCC arrangement.
This is the kit to reach for when a 4L60E throws P0748 or P0745 (pressure control circuit), P0751, P0753, P0756 or P0758 (shift solenoid A or B), P1860 or P1870 (TCC PWM circuit or slip), or when the truck has harsh or soft shifts, stuck-in-gear behavior or converter shudder that points to a sticking solenoid rather than a mechanical failure. Replacing all five at once is cheaper than chasing them one at a time after the pan is already off.
On the bench: drain and drop the pan, remove the filter, unplug the internal harness, pull the retaining clips and bolts, and swap each solenoid one at a time so nothing gets mixed up. Lube the new O-rings with clean ATF before seating them, torque the valve body bolts to spec, and refill with Dexron VI. These are remanufactured units that may show light surface wear; function is tested before shipping.
