4L60E Transmission Master Solenoid Kit, 9 Piece

A complete solenoid kit for the GM 4L60E and 4L65E four-speed automatics built from 1993 through 2005. It replaces the full electrical set on the valve body in one go: the 1-2 and 2-3 shift solenoids (A and B), the TCC on/off solenoid, the TCC PWM solenoid, the 3-2 downshift control solenoid and the EPC (pressure control) solenoid, along with the pieces that round it out to nine.

Fitment covers the rear-drive GM trucks, vans and cars that carried the 4L60E and 4L65E in that range, including 1994-2002 Camaro and Firebird V6 and V8, 1995-2002 4.3L V6 trucks, 2001-2002 Avalanche, 1993-1996 Cadillac Fleetwood and 1994-1996 Buick wagons. Check the tag on the driver side of the case to confirm a 4L60E or 4L65E before ordering.

When to use it: stuck in second or third with codes P0751-P0758, P0740-P0744 converter clutch codes, P1870 slip complaints, firm or soft shifts traced to EPC current, or a unit being rebuilt where the old solenoids have seen a lot of heat. Replacing the full set is cheaper in labor than chasing one solenoid at a time with the pan off.

Bench notes: drop the pan and filter, unplug the internal harness, and swap each solenoid with a new O-ring lightly lubed with ATF. Torque the valve body bolts to spec in sequence, install a new filter and pan gasket, refill with Dexron VI, then clear codes and road test through all four gears and lockup. This is an aftermarket kit that ships loose with no retail box.
