4L60E Master Rebuild Kit with Solenoids, Band and Filter

This is a full overhaul kit for the GM 4L60E and its later 4L65E and 4L70E versions. It goes past a basic soft-parts kit: along with the gasket and seal set, friction plates and steel plates, you get the piston kit, a new 2-4 band, a pan filter and replacement shift solenoids. That covers the wear items you replace on every rebuild and the electrical parts that often cause the complaint in the first place.

It fits the rear-wheel-drive GM trucks, SUVs and cars that used the 4L60E from 1994 on, including the 1999-2013 Silverado and Sierra 1500, 1995-2014 Tahoe, Yukon and Suburban 1500, 2002-2009 Trailblazer and Envoy, 1994-2005 S10 Blazer, Jimmy, Astro and Safari, 2002-2008 Avalanche, 1999-2006 Escalade and C4/C5 Corvettes. Typical reasons to open one of these up: a burned 3-4 clutch pack (lost 3rd and 4th, or flare into 4th), a worn 2-4 band causing a slip or flare on the 1-2 shift, or shift solenoid codes such as P0751 and P0756 on a unit that already has high miles. With frictions, band and solenoids in the same kit, you can close the case without a second parts order.

Before you order, check the kit against your old parts, count your 3-4 clutches (the count changed across years and heavy-duty builds), and soak the new frictions in clean ATF before you assemble.
