Replacement solenoid set for 2003-and-later GM 4L60E, 4L65E and 4L70E valve bodies: shift A and B, 3-2 downshift, EPC and TCC PWM solenoids.
A full set of new aftermarket electrical solenoids for the late-style GM 4L60E, also listed for the 4L65E and 4L70E. It covers the 2003-and-later units, which use the later valve body and case connector layout. The set includes shift solenoid A, shift solenoid B, the 3-2 downshift control solenoid, the EPC (electronic pressure control) solenoid and the TCC PWM converter clutch solenoid.
This is the kit to reach for when the scan tool shows solenoid circuit or performance codes such as P0751/P0756 (shift A), P0753/P0758 (shift B), P0748 or P0960-series (EPC) and P0740/P0741 (TCC). Common driver complaints: stuck in one gear, soft or erratic shifts, a bang into gear from low line pressure control, or no converter lockup at highway speed. On a high-mileage unit, if one solenoid has failed the others are usually close behind, so doing the full set while the pan is off avoids a second teardown.
Install: drain and drop the pan, remove the filter and unplug the internal harness from each solenoid. Pull the retaining clips on shift A and B and slide them out, then unbolt the EPC, 3-2 and TCC PWM solenoids from the valve body. Lube each new O-ring with clean ATF, seat the solenoids straight, torque the bolts to spec and reconnect the harness. Fit a new filter and pan gasket, refill, clear codes and road test through every gear and into lockup.
Fitment note: GM changed connectors and the pressure switch arrangement around 2003. Match your old solenoids against the photos before ordering; for 1993-2002 units choose an early-style kit.
