62TE Transmission Master Rebuild Kit, Dodge/Chrysler 2007-Up

This is a master overhaul kit for the Chrysler 62TE, the six-speed front-wheel-drive automatic that grew out of the 41TE/A604 Ultradrive family with an added compounder gearset for the extra ratios. It reseals and re-clutches the whole unit in one box, which is what a 62TE needs once it starts slipping, flaring on the 2-3 or 3-4, or dropping into limp mode.

Fitment covers 2007-up applications behind the 2.4L four and the 2.7L, 3.5L, 3.6L Pentastar, and 4.0L V6: Dodge Avenger, Grand Caravan, and Journey; Chrysler 200, Sebring, Town & Country, and Pacifica; VW Routan; and the Ram ProMaster 1500. On the bench the kit gives you the friction clutch plates, sealing rings, metal-clad seals, rubber piston seals, O-rings, and the full gasket set to replace every wear item during teardown. Worn overdrive and underdrive frictions and hardened seals are the usual reason these units burn fluid and lose apply pressure, so this is the parts set you lay out before the case ever comes apart. Reuse your good hard parts and drop in fresh soft parts and frictions.
