62TE Transmission Main Solenoid Block Pack, Chrysler/Dodge

This is the main solenoid block pack for the Chrysler 62TE six-speed transverse automatic, the transmission behind the 3.6L Pentastar and the earlier 3.3/3.8L V6 in the Grand Caravan, Town and Country, Journey, Avenger, 200, Sebring, Pacifica, RAM C/V and RAM ProMaster. It is a direct replacement for OE part numbers 68376696AA, 5078709AB, 05078709AA and 05078709AB. The block pack carries the shift and pressure-control solenoids that mount to the valve body and route line pressure to the clutches, so it is the part you replace when a solenoid inside the module fails electrically or sticks.

When one of those solenoids goes down you usually get a P0750 through P0770 shift-solenoid code or a P076A, harsh or erratic 2-3 and 3-4 shifts, slipping on an apply, or a transmission that drops into limp mode and holds one gear. Because the solenoids are packaged together in one serviceable module, swapping the block pack restores correct pressure and shift timing without pulling the transmission or replacing the full valve body, and it is faster and cheaper than chasing individual solenoids.

The job is done from underneath with the oil pan off. Drop the pan and filter, unplug the internal connector, unbolt the old solenoid block from the valve body, set the new unit in place and torque the fasteners evenly, then reconnect the connector and refit the filter and pan. It is a plug-and-play module, so no reprogramming is needed on most applications; clear the stored codes, refill with ATF+4 to level, and road test to confirm the shifts. This unit is remanufactured and bench tested before it ships.
