Honda CVT Transmission Valve Body 27000-5LJ-014

Complete CVT valve body assembly for the Honda continuously variable transmission used in the 1.5L turbo Civic and the CR-V. It replaces Honda part numbers 27000-5X9-014, 27000-5X9-004, 27000-5LJ-014, 27000-5LJ-024 and 27000-5LJ-034, and covers Civic 1.5L 2016-2024, CR-V 1.5L and 2.4L 2017-2024, and Accord 1.5L 2023-2025. Cross-check the casting number stamped on the unit you pull before you order - Honda ran several revisions across those years and the numbers above are the ones this body supersedes.

This is the part you go to when the CVT judders on light throttle from a stop, flares on a pull-away, holds a high ratio and will not drop back, or throws pressure and ratio-control codes (P0847, P0848, P0841, P0964) after the fluid and the drain-plug filter have already been done. Those faults trace back to a stuck or worn linear solenoid and a scored bore in the body, and once a bore is worn no amount of fresh HCF-2 will hold pressure on the pulleys.

On the bench: drop the pan, pull the strainer, unplug the internal harness at the body, and back out the body bolts in reverse of the torque sequence so the plate does not warp. The separator plate and its gaskets come off with the old unit - transfer nothing that is worn. Set the new body on clean, hand-start every bolt, then torque in sequence. Refill with genuine Honda HCF-2 only - Honda's CVT will not tolerate a substitute fluid - and run the CVT start-clutch relearn with a scan tool before you road test.
