JF011E RE0F10A CVT Master Rebuild Kit Nissan Rogue Altima

A complete master rebuild kit for the Jatco JF011E, cataloged by Nissan as the RE0F10A and by Mitsubishi as the F1CJA. This is the mid-size CVT2 unit that shows up under a lot of 2007-2012 front-drive and AWD cars: the Nissan Altima 2.5L (2009-2012), Rogue 2.5L (2009-2012), Sentra 2.0L and 2.5L (2007-2012), and the Dodge Caliber 2.0L (2007-2012). The same transaxle family carries over to Jeep Compass and Patriot, Mitsubishi Outlander and Lancer, and several Suzuki applications. If one of these is slipping, shuddering on light throttle, or throwing a burnt-fluid smell, this box has the wear parts the teardown needs.

Inside are the friction clutch plates and the mating steel plates for the forward and reverse packs, both the internal and the spin-on external oil filter, and the full set of rubber seals, lip seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to close the unit back up. The frictions use an asbestos-free lining that holds its bite under the high line pressure a CVT runs. About 80 percent of the seals are FKM fluorine rubber and the rest are Japanese ACM, both picked to survive the heat and pressure that cook cheap seals and start the leaks that put these units on the bench in the first place. Most oil seals are NAK.

Work it on a clean bench. Strip the unit and inspect the pulleys, the steel push belt, and the oil pump for scoring before you commit to the rebuild. Soak the new frictions in fresh NS-2 spec CVT fluid before assembly, replace every seal and ring in the kit instead of reusing the old ones, and set the pack clearances as you stack them. A CVT is unforgiving of debris, so flush the cooler and lines before you refill and never mix in the wrong fluid.

One fitment note from the factory: this kit is not for the 2016 Altima 2.5L. Confirm your unit reads JF011E or RE0F10A on the case before ordering.
