Plate count is what you are paying for here. A full set of frictions and steels lets you replace every pack instead of reusing heat-checked or warped steels, which is a common cause of a chattering or slipping rebuild. Soak the frictions in ATF for 30 minutes, check steels are flat as you stack, measure each pack clearance, and air check before the valve body goes on. Drums, shells, planets and bushings are not included.
