722.6 Transmission Conductor Plate and Filter Kit

The 722.6 five-speed carries its two internal speed sensors and all of its shift and pressure solenoid wiring on a conductor plate that bolts to the valve body inside the pan. Heat cycles and age crack the plate's internal circuits, and when they go the transmission drops into limp mode, sticks in one gear, bangs the 2-3 shift, or refuses to upshift at all. Speed sensor codes on the Y3/8n1 and Y3/8n2 circuits are the usual fingerprint. The plate is not repairable on the bench, so replacement is the fix.

This kit covers the whole job instead of just the plate. You get the conductor plate, the 13-pin case connector adapter, the transmission filter, and the pan gasket. That 13-pin adapter matters: its seals harden and let ATF wick up the harness toward the control module, which is one of the most common reasons a 722.6 car comes in with electrical faults that look nothing like a transmission problem. Replacing the plate and leaving the old adapter in place is how the same job comes back.

On the bench: drain the pan, drop it, pull the old filter, release the 13-pin adapter from the case side, unplug the internal harness, and unbolt the plate from the valve body. Set the new plate, fit the new adapter, install the filter and gasket, and refill through the fill plug. Check the level at operating temperature the way the 722.6 requires, not cold, or you will chase a level problem that is not there.
